It was April 1982, pioneer of Diabetes treatment in Bangladesh, Prof. Ibrahim shared his master plan to treat Diabetes in Bangladesh by using a satellite system. Dr. Patrick Bipul Biswas was asked to take responsibility of the northern areas using Bogra as a base. Dr. Biswas was lucky to find a few dedicated workers as friends and alias for the job. Some of these are Mr. Habibur Rahman Bhandari, Mr. Amzad Hossain Tazma, Mr. Jabedur Rahman etc. They are the vanguards to start with treatment of Diabetes in the northern regions of Bangladesh. It is due to their dedicated hard work that in very short time Dr. Biswas could start a clinic in a based house in 1983. Prof. Ibrahim himself came to open it in October 1983. Dr. Biswas left it as a well-organized hospital in 1987. Since then it has seen many ups and downs, but it has been developing steadily.

In 2003 Bogra Diabetic Somity established its own 30 bedded hospital at nobabbari road with the help of people republic of Bangladesh. In order to develop a general health care delivery system Bogra Diabetic Somity established their 30 bedded Swasthoseba Hospital at Matidali & a sub centre at Talora in collaboration with Netherlands Government in 2006.
